NOTICE TO BIDDERS
REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Merced County
Office of Education, MCOE, (hereinafter the "COE")
of Merced, CA, acting by and through the Superintendant
Board, will receive sealed bids no later than 2:00:00 pm,
on December 23, 2025, at the MCOE Facilities & Support Services Office,
2100B Cooper Avenue, Merced, CA, for the following project:
Los Banos VCS – New HVAC at Gym & Site Work – Bid Number #2025-14
Merced VCS – New HVAC at Gym & Site Work – Bid Number #2025-15
General contractor shall perform the following scope of work:
Site & partial building demolition, site improvements – concrete & fencing,
installation of new wall framing (metal studs), stucco, insulation, sheetrock,
tackboard, painting, T-Bar ceiling, HVAC & Electrical.
The work shall be performed within the following
time frame: (90 days) Complete by March 15, 2025.

A Mandatory Pre-bid Conference and site visit will be
held on December 8, at 9:00 am, and will start at Merced VCS -
1850 Wardrobe Avenue, Merced, CA 95341, then proceed to Los Banos.
The COE has determined the general prevailing rate to be the per
diem wages for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed
to execute this contract as set forth in the collective bargaining agreements
for Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced Counties, California.
COMPLIANCE MONITORING: This project is subject
to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the
Department of Industrial Relations, Office of the Labor
Commissioner. Copies of all collective bargaining
agreements relating to the work are on file and available
for inspection in the office of the California Department
of Industrial Relations, Division of the Labor Statistics
and Research, 455 Golden State Avenue, San Francisco,
CA 94102, (415-703-4780), <http:/www.dir.ca.gov/dlsr>
In compliance with SB 854, no Contractor or subcontractor
may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project
unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations
pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited
exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under
Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].
In addition, no contractor or subcontractor may be awarded
a contract for public work on a public works project unless
registered with the Department of Industrial Relations
pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
A valid Type B, Contractors License will be required.
Bids must be returned in a sealed envelope, identified
by the bid title "Merced County Office of Education –
New HVAC at Gym & Site Work at Merced VCS &
Los Banos VCS." and bearing the name and address of
the proposer.
The Superinendant reserves the right to reject any and all Bids
and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless
otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its
bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
