MACON WATER AUTHORITY SEWAGE SPILL A sanitary sewage spill occurred on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 3:42 pm until Saturday, June 13, 2026, 10:48 am at 531 Thomaston Overlook Drive. The cause of this major spill is due to grease and roots in the sewer main. The amount of the spill was determined to be 22,920 gallons and entered a ditch feeding Blue Branch. Service has been restored, and cleanup has been completed.
