Georgia Department of Transportation Request for Feedback For PI 0019945 Bibb County The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is requesting review and feedback on the proposed project. This project proposes to replace the bridges (021-0013-0 and 021-0014-0) over Walnut Creek on State Route (SR) 19/SR 87/United States (US) 23 (Emery Highway) in Bibb County. In addition, GDOT will be seeking a determination that the proposed action is a de minimis action under Section 4(f) of the US DOT Act in accordance with 23 CFR 774.5, conditioned on public review and comment. A de minimis finding may be made when use of the protected resource's property will have no adverse effect on the protected resource. Additionally, GDOT will be utilizing the "Programmatic Section 4(f) Evaluation and Approval for FHWA Projects that Necessitate the Use of Historic Bridges" to minimize harm and identify any feasible and prudent alternatives to replacing the bridges. The Section 4(f) resources on this project are: The bridges (021-0013-0 and 021-0014-0) over Walnut Creek, the roadway SR 19/SR 87/US 23 (Emery Highway), Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park, and the Norfolk-Southern Railroad bridge 021-0198-0 over SR 19/SR 87/US23.
