Request for Proposals Public Notice to Owners/Developers of Multifamily Housing in Macon-Bibb County, Georgia The Macon-Bibb County Housing Authority (MHA) will accept proposals from rental property owners and/or developers for allocations of Section 8 Project-Based Vouchers (PBV) for affordable rental properties in Macon-Bibb County, Georgia. PBVs provide long-term Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments contracts for rental properties occupied by low and moderate-income persons. The properties must meet HUD requirements, MHA selection policies, and other scoring criteria. Owners may submit proposals for existing housing, rehabilitation projects or new construction projects. Owners may submit proposals for multifamily properties. The information, selection, and scoring criteria packet may be obtained by contacting Katina Wilson, Regional Property Manager, at (478) 752-5253 or kwilson@maconhousing.com. MHA will accept proposals until 12:00 p.m. EST on May 29, 2026. Proposals received after this date and time will not be accepted. Owners/Developers wishing to submit a hard copy of their proposal in person may contact Katina Wilson at 478.752.5253 for an appointment time. Proposals may also be emailed to kwilson@maconhousing.com, but will not be considered received without email delivery confirmation. Faxed proposals will not be accepted. MHA estimates that it may provide funding for up to seventy-five (75) regular PBV multifamily units, but reserves the right to allocate less units, depending on the number and quality of the applications it receives. MHA will only consider those proposals submitted in response to the guidelines in the "Project-Based Voucher Plan" as described in the information packet.
