Special Election for January 20, 2026
State Senator – District 18
A notice is hereby given that a Special Election has been called by the Georgia Secretary of State for the State Senator District 18 to be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, to fill the unexpired term of State Senator John Kennedy.
Voters who are registered and eligible to vote in the State Senator District 18 are listed below:
HAZZARD 2 – Lake Wildwood Clubhouse
*HOWARD 5 – Forest Hills Methodist Church
HAZZARD 4 – Tabernacle Baptist Church
HOWARD 7 – Northside Christian Church
HOWARD 1 – Northway Church
RUTLAND 1 – Mikado Baptist Church
HOWARD 2 – Howard Community Club
WARRIOR 1 – Lizella Baptist Church
HOWARD 3 – North Macon Presbyterian Church
WARRIOR 2 – Macon Evangelistic Church
*The Howard 5 voters must verify their State Senator District as Howard 5 has two (2) District State Representatives (District 18 and District 25). Please check your voter information on-line at https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov or Board of Elections office at (478) 621-6622
Advance Early voting will begin on Monday, December 29, 2025, through January 16, 2026
* Monday through Friday – Hours are: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
* (2) Saturdays voting for January 3rd & January 10th – Hours are: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
*No voting on New Year's Day holiday - Thursday, January 1, 2026.
*The last date to register to vote for all person who are not registered is Monday, December 22, 2025.
*The last date to submit an Application for an Absentee Ballot by mail is Friday, January 9, 2026.
