MACON WATER AUTHORITY SEWAGE SPILL A sanitary sewage spill occurred on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 8:30 am to Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 4:30 pm at 6013 Bashon Court. The cause of this major spill was due to a rock lodged in the sewer main, which allowed grease and rags to accumulate, resulting in a blockage. MWA has cleaned, televised, and repaired the sewer main and will continue to monitor the area. The spill has been contained. The amount of the spill was determined to be 37,920 gallons, which entered Wolf Creek, feeding into Rocky Creek.
