Treasurer Mark H. Metcalf and the Kentucky State Treasury have surpassed $100 million in unclaimed property returned to Kentuckians—reaching the milestone faster than any previous administration in Kentucky history.
To help more residents recover missing money, the Treasury's Unclaimed Property team will host a Fayette County Roadshow on June 23 and 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Davis Park Workforce Center, 501 De Roode Street in Lexington.
Treasury staff will be on-site to help residents search for and claim unclaimed property. The process is free and only takes a few minutes.
More than $45 million in unclaimed property is currently owed to Fayette County residents, including forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, insurance proceeds, utility deposits, and other assets.
Residents can also search anytime at treasury.ky.gov
