40 EAST, 40 WEST, AND RAW WATER INTAKE
MARTIN COUNTY WATER AND SANITATION DISTRICTS INEZ, KENTUCKY
Separate sealed bids for the purchase of Contract 113-23-05, 40 East, 40 West, and Raw Water Intake, will be received by the Martin County Water and Sanitation Districts, 387 East Main Street, Suite 140, Inez, Kentucky 41224, on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. local prevailing time, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in part by grants and loans from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and local funds on hand. Neither the United States, the State of Kentucky nor any of their departments, agencies or employees are or will be a party to this invitation to bid or any resulting contract. The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: Bell Engineering 2480 Fortune Drive, Suite 350 Lexington, Kentucky 40509 Lynn Imaging 328 Old Vine Street Lexington, Kentucky 40507 The work to be bid is described as follows: CONTRACT 113-23-05 40 East, 40 West, and Raw Water Intake Furnishing of a complete backup generator package. System to include weatherproof enclosure, subbase diesel fuel tank, and automatic transfer switch as required. The Martin County Water and Sanitation Districts are tax exempt in the State of Kentucky. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Owner to file any applications to the State of Kentucky, exempting the purchase of the specified goods and hereby agrees to include the savings from such sales tax exemption in its total base bid. The issuing office for the bidding documents is Lynn Imaging, 328 Old Vine Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40507. Printed copies of the bidding documents may be obtained from the issuing office upon receipt of a non-refundable payment for the cost of production and delivery charges. In order to be considered a valid and responsible bidder, the Bidder must obtain a copy of the bidding documents from the issuing office prior to the bid opening date. The work will be completed and ready for substantial and final completion within 30 days of generator delivery. A final schedule will be determined with Notice to Proceed. A 2-envelope system will be used. Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder "Bid for Contract 113-23-05, not to be opened until 11:00 a.m. local time on Friday, July 31, 2026, Bid Documents" Envelope No. 2 labeled "Bid Proposal" shall also be placed inside of Envelope No. 1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Requirement Checklist in Section C-200, Article 17.02, of these Contract Documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal" will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in the Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. The bid will remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after the bid opening, or for such larger period of time that Bidder may agree to in writing upon request of OWNER.
