NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED RATE OF TAXES FOR THE JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT OF METROPOLITAN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI Notice is hereby given to those persons residing within The Junior College District of Metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri, hereinafter described as Metropolitan Community College, that a public hearing shall be held within the Board of Trustees Regular Meeting on September 24, 2026, commencing at 5:30 p.m. at MCC-Administrative Center, Board Room, 3200 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111, for the purpose of enabling citizens to be heard concerning the proposed rate of taxes for said Metropolitan Community College. In accordance with the provisions of Section 67.110, RSMo, the following information is submitted: 1. The assessed valuation by category for fiscal year 2026-2027 is as follows: (a) Real estate $ 22,570,303,456 (b) Personal property $ 4,420,359,751 2. The assessed valuation by category for the preceding fiscal year is as follows: (a) Real estate $ 23,139,326,189 (b) Personal property $ 4,270,731,857 3. The amount of revenue required to be provided from the property tax as set forth in the annual budget adopted by the Board of Trustees is $45,238,000. 4. The proposed tax rate to be set is $0.1822 per $100.00 assessed valuation. 5. The amount of revenue estimated from new construction and improvements is projected to be up to $467,052, or 0.96%.
