
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE TERMINATION OF THE BRIARCLIFF WEST TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN AND TERMINATION OF REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA XXXVIII (38)
This notice is being provided, pursuant to Section 99.825, RSMo, and in accordance with Section 99.830, RSMo, to inform you that there will be a public hearing held by the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri (the "Commission"), as follows:

WHY: regarding the termination of the Briarcliff West Tax Increment Financing Plan (the "Plan") and the termination of the designation of Redevelopment Project Area XXXVIII
The purpose of this hearing is for the Commission to consider recommending that the City Council of Kansas City, Missouri (1) terminate the Briarcliff West Tax Increment Financing Plan (2) terminate the designation of the Redevelopment Area and the Redevelopment Project Area XXXVIII (38), (3) acknowledge expiration of all other Redevelopment Project Areas, and (4) declare as surplus all Payments in Lieu of Taxes and Economic Activity Taxes, if any, on deposit in the Special Allocation Fund established in connection with the Redevelopment Plan, if any, and remit the same to the affected taxing districts in accordance with Section 99.850 RSMo.
The redevelopment area that is described by the Plan is generally bounded by NE Vivion Road and south side of Interstate 29 on the north, the Clay-Platte County Line on the west, the Missouri River on the south and the east side of U.S. Highway 169 on the east in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri (the "Redevelopment Area").
The Plan, together with all amendments thereto, in connection with this public hearing may be reviewed by any interested party on or after April 2nd, 2026, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Commission offices located at 300 Wyandotte, Suite 400, Kansas City, Missouri, 64105.
In accordance with Section 99.830.2(3), RSMo, all interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing. According to Section 99.830.3, RSMo, each taxing district located wholly or partially within the Redevelopment Area may submit comments or objections to the Commission concerning the subject matter of the public hearing prior to the date of the public hearing.
