2026 One-Year Action Plan Covering the City’s Request for Proposals for the Following Federal Program Proposed Entitlements:
Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) $ 7,600,000.00
HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) $ 2,200,000.00
Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG) $ 670,000.00
Housing Opportunities for Persons With Aids Program $ 2,200,000.00 (HOPWA) Total Projected Funding $12,670,000.00
To all Interested Individuals, Groups and Agencies The City of Kansas City began its 2026 One-Year Action Plan Request for Proposals (RFP) schedule with public workshops sponsored by the City’s Housing and Community Development Department in December 2025. The 2026 Action Plan will be year five of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan (2022-2026). The Plan includes information on housing needs, market conditions, goals, and multi-year strategies and objectives for addressing the City’s housing and community development needs. impact Request for Proposals The Resident Participation Plan & Guide to Requesting Funding Under the 2026 Action Plan has been available since January 5, 2026, on the City’s website: www.kcmo.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/16090
DEADLINE FOR 2026 REQUESTS FOR FUNDING HAS BEEN EXTENDED The City of KCMO Housing has extended its deadline to accept applications in response to its 2026 Annual Action Plan Request for Proposals. The prior noticed application for funding period was open on January 5, 2026 through
February 17, 2026 and has an extended submission deadline to Tuesday, March 10, 2026 by 10:00 PM CST.
NO FUNDING REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE EXTENDED DEADLINE.

Public Comment The public commenting period was open for 45-days beginning January 5, 2026 and ended on February 19, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST.
