PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice of Intent to Undertake a Project Using HUD Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Funds
MRIGlobal hereby provides notice of its intent to undertake a project utilizing funds awarded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program.
Project Description
MRIGlobal proposes to use CDBG-DR funds to connect its existing wastewater system to the municipal sanitary sewer system and to mitigate and decommission the existing on-site sewage lagoon. The project is intended to improve environmental conditions, reduce long-term environmental risk, and support resilient infrastructure consistent with disaster recovery objectives.

Funding
The proposed project will be funded in whole or in part with HUD CDBG-DR funds in an amount of approximately $500,000.
HUD National Objective
The project is anticipated to meet the following HUD National Objective:
Urgent Need, as defined under the CDBG-DR program.
Environmental Review
The project is subject to environmental review in accordance with 24 CFR Part 58. MRIGlobal will not proceed with the project until all applicable environmental review requirements have been satisfied and HUD or the responsible entity has issued the appropriate approval.
Public Comment Period
The public is invited to submit written comments regarding the proposed project. Comments will be accepted for a period of 15 days, beginning on 2/5/2026 and ending on 2/19/2026.
