PUBLIC NOTICE Straub Construction will be taking formal bids for the Ladd School Redevelopment project located at 3600 Benton Blvd, KCMO 64128. This phase of the project will renovate the existing School (28 residential units) and build four new residential buildings (56 units) on the site. The Gym will be renovated (it recently has been through a fire) and the Auditorium will be renovated as well. The rest of the TI spaces will be a warm core and shell (Food Hub, Office Space, Bookstore/Café, Clinic, Beauty Salon, Massage). This is a historic tax credit project, MHDC low-income housing tax credit project, LEED Silver and the project is targeting net zero energy. A pre-bid/site visit will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 2pm. Meet in the back parking lot of school. Street parking will be available. Attendance is highly encouraged. Certified WBE (15%), MBE (15%) and Workforce goals of 10% minority hours & 2% women worked hours apply. This project is SALES TAX EXEMPT and PREVAILING WAGE (Jackson County Wage Order No. 32). Subcontractors will need to hold pricing for 90 days after bid submission.
