NOTICE OF OPENING FILING DATE AND CLOSING FILING DATE FOR TRUSTEE ELECTIONS IN SUBDISTRICTS 2 AND 5 OF THE JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT OF METROPOLITAN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI APRIL 7, 2026 ELECTION Notice is hereby given to the general public, including qualified residents in election Subdistricts No. 2 and No. 5 of The Junior College District of Metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri, that Declarations of Candidacy for the April 7, 2026 election for the Office of Trustee for Subdistrict No. 2—six-year term, and for the Office of Trustee for Subdistrict No. 5—six-year term, of said Junior College District will be accepted commencing on December 9, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the District's regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Declaration of Candidacy Forms and instructions for filing procedures are available for pickup from the Secretary to the Board of Trustees, beginning December 5, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. at 3200 Broadway, Kansas City, Missouri, during the District's regular business hours as above set forth, and with the exceptions set forth below. Except for the first and last day of filing, filing will not occur on days that the District's offices are closed for business or closed for inclement weather. The District may not open on the first and/or last day of filing if weather conditions make it unsafe for staff to travel. District Offices will be closed and not accept filings from December 22, 2025 through December 29, 2025. On the last day of filing, Tuesday, December 30, the District Offices will be open between the hours of 12:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. The closing date for filing shall be December 30, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Declarations of Candidacy must be filed with the Secretary to the Board of Trustees or the Alternate Secretary to the Board of Trustees, at the Metropolitan Community College Administrative Office, 3200 Broadway, Kansas City, Missouri. Candidates having filed and desiring to withdraw such candidacy shall appear in person before the Secretary (or Alternate Secretary) to the Board of Trustees on or before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026, and execute and deliver a proper withdrawal of such candidacy.
