NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 6-1-330(A) of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976, as amended, that the County Council of Jasper County (hereinafter the "County Council"), "), which is the governing body of Jasper County, South Carolina (the "County") will conduct a public hearing (the "Public Hearing") concerning the enactment of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 BUDGET TO IMPOSE NEW FEES AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO," (the "Ordinance"). The Ordinance, authorizes and ratifies certain revisions to the fee schedule for the animal shelter, the coroner's office, GIS (mapping), container rentals, recreations fees, and tax collector fees, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A to the Ordinance (the "New Fees"). The Public Hearing will be held in the Clementa C. Pinckney Government Building (County Council Chambers) located at 358 Third Avenue, Ridgeland, South Carolina, on August 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as time permits) on the implementation of the New Fees. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and express their views at the public hearing.
