Public Notice John Davenport has applied to the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services Bureau of Coastal Management for a permit to construct an approximately 171' long, 7.5' tall FRP bulkhead to be placed at the critical line. Riprap totaling 0.17 CY/LF will be installed at the toe along the length of the bulkhead for toe protection. To replace the existing 15'x 5' timber walkway with a 15' x 4' timber walkway. To replace the existing 20' x 10' floating dock with an 18' x 10' floating dock. The existing 3' x 24' timber gangway will remain in place. To remove the existing 12' x 13' 4-pile boat lift and 5' x 22' fixed timber walkway used to access the lift. To construct a new 12' x 13' floating boat storage structure on the flood side of the proposed walkway. These improvements are for recreational water access and shoreline protection. The proposed changes are at 76 Dolphin Point Dr (TMS: R60002100A00230000), Beaufort, Beaufort County, SC on and adjacent to Cowen Creek.
