Public Notice of Candidate Filing City of Beaufort, South Carolina The Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Beaufort County will conduct the City of Beaufort General Election on November 3, 2026. Filing opens at noon, July 1, 2026, and closes noon, August 17, 2026. Filing Fee: Filing fees are paid at the time of filing. The filing fee City Council is $150. Citizens desiring to be a candidate for a City Council seat may file at the City of Beaufort City Hall, 1911 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC. Books will remain open during regular business hours until 12:00 noon on August 17, 2026.
