NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Jasper County Council will hold a public hearing to receive oral or written comments on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as time permits) concerning a proposed ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF NOT EXCEEDING TWO MILLION DOLLARS ($2,000,000) AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF JASPER COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA IN ONE OR MORE SERIES, TO PRESCRIBE THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE PROCEEDS SHALL BE EXPENDED, TO PROVIDE FOR THE PAYMENT THEREOF, AND TO PROVIDE FOR OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO." The public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers located at the Jasper County Clementa C. Pinckney Government Building, 358 Third Avenue, Ridgeland, SC 29936. The public hearing will be conducted publicly and both proponents and opponents of the proposed ordinance shall be given the opportunity to be heard in person or by counsel.
