Public Notice DRAFT 2026 Lowcountry Hazard Mitigation Plan Avaialbe for Public Comment The Lowcountry Council of Governments is requesting the public to review and provide comments on the draft Hazard Mitigation Plan for Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper Counties. The 2026 Lowcountry Hazard Mitigation Plan is an update of the 2020 plan. The plan identifies hazards that threaten the Lowcountry region including their extent and historical occurrences. Additionally, the plan establishes mitigation action plans to reduce the impacts caused by hazards that will save lives and property. The report can be viewed on the Lowcountry COG website at https://www.lowcountrycog.org. Copies are also available upon request.
