Dock Permit Smithbuilt LLC. as agent for William Hood has applied to the SC Department of Environmental Services, Bureau of Coastal Management to add a 3'x30' buffer float located 18' channelward of an existing, permitted floating dock. Additionally, install a 5x5 osprey nest located within the extended property lines on the opposite side of the creek. Osprey nest will be located 6' into the marsh grass from the edge of marsh and will stand 20' off the marsh bottom. The purpose of the dock additions is for private and recreational use on Distant Island Creek in Beaufort County at 450 Distant Island Dr, Beaufort SC 29907.
