PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC HEARINGS will be held on March 16th, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Jasper County Council Chambers at the Clementa C. Pinckney Government Building located at 358 Third Avenue, Ridgeland, South Carolina on the following items:
1. An Ordinance to amend the Official Zoning Map of Jasper County so as to transfer a property located along Elaine Farm Road, bearing Jasper County Tax Map Number 040-00-02-150 consisting of 8.0 acres from the Rural Preservation Zone to the Residential Zone.
PUBLIC COMMENTS, WRITTEN OR ORAL, ARE INVITED.
At the public hearing, all taxpayers and residents of Jasper County and other interested persons who appear will be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the ordinance. Anyone wishing to comment on any of the proposed ordinances is encouraged to attend the public hearing and must sign-in on the public hearing sign-in sheet before the meeting begins. Additional options to participate in the public hearing include emailing written comments to planningcomments@jaspercountysc.gov or by mailing comments to Planning Department at P.O. Box 1659, Ridgeland, SC 29936. All written comments must be received by 1:00 pm on March 16th, 2026.
