PUBLIC NOTICE John Davenport has applied to the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services Bureau of Coastal Management for a permit to construct an approximately 171' long, 7.5' tall FRP bulkhead to be placed in front of existing timber bulkhead in a state of failure no more than 18" channel ward of SCDES-BCM Critical Line. Riprap totaling 0.17 CY/LF will be installed at the toe along the length of the bulkhead for toe protection. Replace the existing 15'x5' timber walkway with a 15'x4' timber walkway. The existing 3'x24' timber gangway and 10'x20' floating dock are to remain. Lastly, replace the existing 12'x13' 4-pile boat lift and 5' wide by 22' fixed timber walkway used to access the lift in kind. Approximately 2.5' of the width of the 5'x'22' timber walkway is in the critical area. These improvements are for recreational water access and shoreline protection. The proposed changes are at 76 Dolphin Point Dr (TMS: R60002100A00230000), Beaufort, Beaufort County, SC on and adjacent to Cowen Creek.
