Public Notice for Transportation Improvement Program and Long Range Transportation Plan Amendment
The Lowcountry Council of Governments (LCOG), the rural transportation planning agency for Colleton and Hampton Counites and the rural areas of Beaufort and Jasper Counties is requesting the public to review and provide comments on proposed amendments to the FY 2024 – 2033 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) and the 2045 Rual Long Range Transportation plan (LRTP). The RTIP is the short-term programming document that lists rural transportation improvement projects to receive funding in fiscal years 2024 – 2033. The LRTP contains the region's twenty plus year financially constrained list of transportation projects. The report providing details of the proposed TIP and LRTP amendments will be available for review on or before September 17th, 2025, at the Lowcountry Councils of Governments office and on the LCOG website at www.lowcountrycog.org.
Any changes to the report will be posted on the website. The comment period starts on September 17th, 2025. Written comments on the proposed RTIP amendments will be accepted until close of business on October 17th, 2025.
