SUMMARY OF CITY OF SAN JOAQUIN ORDINANCE NO. 2026-03 Notice is hereby given that on August 4, 2026, at a regular meeting duly convened, the City Council of the City of San Joaquin adopted Ordinance No. 2026-03: An Ordinance of The City Council Of The City Of San Joaquin Amending Section 150.001 of The San Joaquin Municipal Code Adopting California Construction Codes By Reference Every three years, the California Building Standards Commission adopts new model codes, known collectively as the California Building Standards Code, to establish uniform standards for the construction and maintenance of buildings, electrical systems, plumbing systems, mechanical systems, and fire and life safety systems. Sections 17922, 17958 and 18941.5 of the California Health and Safety Code require that the latest edition of the California Building Standards Code and Uniform Housing Code apply to local construction 180 days after publication. The ordinance adopts the 2025 California Building Standards Code as adopted by the California Building Standards Commission. An executed copy of Ordinance No. 2026-03 is available at the City Clerk's Office at City Hall, 21900 Colorado Ave, San Joaquin, CA 93660. The City Council approved Ordinance No. 2026-03 by a vote of 4 to 0 with Mayor Flores-Cornejo, Councilmember Covarrubia, Councilmember Lua, and Councilmember Ramirez voting yes.
