Notice is hereby given that Sanger Unified School District, as the Lead Agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), has prepared an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the Alternative Education Campus Project and intends to adopt the Mitigated Negative Declaration following completion of the public review period.

Project Description
The proposed project would redevelop and improve an existing Sanger Unified School District educational and administrative campus. Project components include construction of approximately 5,440 square feet of new buildings, installation of approximately 9,120 square feet of relocatable classroom, administrative, restroom buildings, and interior renovation of the existing district office building.
Environmental Determination
Based on the Initial Study prepared for the Alternative Education Campus Project, Sanger Unified School District has determined that the proposed project would not have a significant effect on the environment with implementation of mitigation measures identified in the IS/MND. Accordingly, Sanger Unified School District intends to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to CEQA and the State CEQA Guidelines.
Public Review and Comment Period
The IS/MND will be available for public review and comment for a period beginning on August 7, 2026, and ending at 5:00pm on September 7, 2026. Written comments must be received by Sanger Unified School District no later than the close of the public review period.

Public Hearing
A public hearing to consider the project and the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration will be held on September 22, 2026, at 6:00pm at Sanger Unified School District, 1905 7th Street, Sanger, CA 93657.
Hazardous Waste Sites Statement
Pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15072(g)(5), the project site is not included on a list of hazardous materials sites compiled pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5.
Notice Distribution
This notice is being provided to the public, responsible agencies, trustee agencies, interested parties who have requested notice, and the County Clerk of the county in which the project is located, in accordance with CEQA Guidelines Section 15072.
