CITY OF SAN JOAQUIN NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of San Joaquin will conduct a Public Hearing on August 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in the City Council Chambers located 21991 Colorado Avenue, Ste. A, San Joaquin, CA 93660 to consider amending the Construction Codes by Reference Ordinance of the City of San Joaquin as follows: Ordinance of The City Council Of The City Of San Joaquin Amending Section 150.001 of The San Joaquin Municipal Code Adopting California Construction Codes By Reference Every three years, the California Building Standards Commission adopts new model codes, known collectively as the California Building Standards Code, to establish uniform standards for the construction and maintenance of buildings, electrical systems, plumbing systems, mechanical systems, and fire and life safety systems. Sections 17922, 17958 and 18941.5 of the California Health and Safety Code require that the latest edition of the California Building Standards Code and Uniform Housing Code apply to local construction 180 days after publication. The proposed ordinance adopts the 2025 California Building Standards Code as adopted by the California Building Standards Commission. At the hearing, interested persons will be given the opportunity to make their comments known and questions answered related to the proposed ordinance.
