NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF A DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT New Fresno Courthouse Project Judicial Council of California State Clearinghouse Number 2025111159 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the availability of the following document: Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Judicial Council of California (Judicial Council) New Fresno Courthouse Project The Judicial Council of California (Judicial Council) proposes to construct and operate a new Fresno courthouse located on 2.09 acres within Courthouse Park (Assessor's Parcel Number 466-160-01T), located at 2200 Fresno Street in the City of Fresno, Fresno County, California. The Project would consolidate Fresno County Superior Court operations from three downtown locations (the Fresno County Courthouse, the North Annex Jail court facilities, and the "M" Street Courthouse) into a single new courthouse. In accordance with procedures set forth in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (California Public Resources Code, § 21000, et seq.) and the Guidelines implementing CEQA ("CEQA Guidelines" (Title 14, California Code of Regulations, § 15000, et. seq.), the Judicial Council has determined that an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is required for this Project. The Judicial Council is the lead agency for the preparation of the EIR. In accordance with Section 15105of the CEQA Guidelines, the written public review period for the Draft EIR commences on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and ends on August 27, 2026.
