City of Coalinga NOTICE OF ELECTION Elections Code §12112 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Consolidated Statewide General Election will be held in the City of Coalinga on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November 2026, for the following offices: Member, City Council District 1 One (1) Full Term of Four (4) Years Member, City Council District 2 ST One (1) Short Term of Two (2) Years Member, City Council District 3 One (1) Full Term of Four (4) Years Member, City Council District 5 One (1) Full Term of Four (4) Years The qualifications of a nominee and of an elective officer of the district are as follows: Candidate must be a registered voter and resident of the district. Candidate must provide additional documentation to prove district residency with City Clerk of the City of Coalinga. The City Clerk will issue the residency confirmation letter to all candidates for City Council, and to the County Clerk/Registrar of Voters. Nomination papers for eligible candidates desiring to file for any of the elective offices may be obtained from the Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters, 2221 Kern Street, Fresno, CA 93721 or the City of Coalinga, City Clerk at 155 W. Durian Avenue, Coalinga, CA 93210. Nomination papers shall be available commencing on July 13, 2026, the 113th day before the election and shall be filed with the Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters, either in person or by certified mail received not later than 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2026, the 88th day before the election. If no one or only one person is nominated for an elected office, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by Section 10229.
