NOTICE OF Invitation To Bid Notice is hereby given Western Sierra Charter Schools ("WSCS") will receive sealed bids on for the Oakhurst Campus Building Addition WESTERN SIERRA CHARTER SCHOOLS Notice is hereby given Western Sierra Charter Schools ("WSCS") will receive sealed bids on for the Oakhurst Campus Building Addition in accordance with the drawings obtained from Architect. WSCS hereby notifies all bidders that they will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, qualified contractors will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, creed, sex or national origin in consideration for award. A mandatory pre-bid conference has been scheduled for Thursday, 6/25/26 at 2:00 P.M. Those attending the pre-bid conference will assemble at the Western Sierra Charter Schools Upper Parking Lot, located at 41267 Hwy 41, Oakhurst, CA 93644. This is at the intersection of Hwy 41 and Rocky Cut Road. Prospective bidders shall be required to have a valid Class A or B license. Prevailing wage rates are not required for this project. Bids must be received no later than 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, 7/16/26, at the WSCS OFFICE, 41267 Hwy 41, Oakhurst, CA 93644, after which time they will not be accepted. Envelopes containing BIDS FORMS must be sealed, prominently marked with bid number, bid title, respective due date and time for each name of bidder and submitted by 7/16/26. BIDS must be received no later than the time and date designated. BIDS received later than the designated time and date will be returned to the bidder unopened. Facsimile (FAX) copies of the bid will not be accepted. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a bidder's bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of total base bid and must be made payable to the WSCS. The check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract to perform the above according to the specifications and will be declared forfeited if the bidder refuses or neglects to enter into a contract after award is made. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond, Workers' Compensation and General Liability Insurance as requested by Contract Documents. The successful bidder shall also be required to enter into a written agreement on a form provided by WSCS. WSCS is a public charter school organization located in Madera County, California and serves approximately 450 students. The existing campus includes both Mountain Home School and Glacier High School in a single building located at 41267 Highway 41 in Oakhurst, CA. The current building is approximately 11,000 sq.ft. consisting of wood construction, concrete foundation with wood siding and comp shingle roofing. WSCS also owns the property to the north of the school campus across Rocky Cut Road. The Project consists of the addition of 2,660 sq.ft. on the north side of the existing building and includes offices, classroom, and conference room. The construction will consist of wood trusses, wood framing, HVAC system, lighting, windows, doors, siding, and roof finished will match the existing building. The addition consists of wood construction, concrete footings, partial concrete slab and wood joist floor due to the grade change on the site, HVAC system, electrical, and lighting. The interior and exterior finishes will match the existing building. Site work includes demolition of the existing water storage tank, grading, installation of new water storage tank, new fire hydrant, gravel path from existing site to across Rocky Cut Road to the overflow parking on the north parcel.
