NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE FRESNO MOSQUITO AND VECTOR CONTROL DISTRICT FOR THE MOSQUITO AND DISEASE CONTROL ASSESSMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-27
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Fresno Mosquito and Vector Control District intends to conduct a public hearing for the CONTINUATION of a benefit assessment in fiscal year 2026-27 that funds the District's mosquito abatement and disease control services encompassing the Western portion of the City of Fresno, the City of Kerman, and unincorporated Fresno County areas including the communities of Biola, Calwa, Easton and Malaga.
The public hearing to consider the ordering of services and the levy of the continued assessments for fiscal year 2026-27 for the mosquito and disease control assessment shall be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fresno Mosquito and Vector Control District Office located at 2338 E. McKinley Ave, Fresno, CA 93703. The proposed assessment rate for fiscal year 2026-27 is six dollars and thirteen cents ($6.13) for Zone A and five dollars and seventy-five cents ($5.75) for Zone B, per single-family equivalent benefit unit.
Members of the public are invited to provide comment at the public hearing, or, in writing, which is received by the Board at the above address on or before Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
