CITY OF FRESNO PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING STREET NAME CHANGE APPLICATION NO. P26-00936 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Fresno City Planning Commission and the Fresno City Council, in accordance with Sections 65090 and 65091 of the Government Code (Planning and Zoning Law), the Street Name Procedures ordinance of the Fresno Municipal Code (Article 62, Chapter 15), and Sections 15-4902, 15-4903, and 15-5007 of the Fresno Municipal Code (FMC), will conduct public hearings to consider Street Name Change Application No. P26-00936 changing the name of Cesar Chavez Boulevard to the original street names of California Avenue, Ventura Street, and Kings Canyon Road. The affected ±6.9-mile segment begins at the intersection of West Cesar Chavez Boulevard and South Marks Avenue and extends east to South Peach Avenue. The street name change does not apply to the half-mile street segment between South Hughes and South West Avenues, as that is located in Fresno County, and is already named West California Avenue. At the hearings, the following will be considered: 1. Street Name Change Application No. P26-00936 proposes changing the name of Cesar Chavez Boulevard to the original street names of California Avenue, Ventura Street, and Kings Canyon Road. 2. Any interested person may appear at either or both of the public hearings and present written testimony, or speak in favor or against the project proposal. However, for Planning Commission, all documents, including written testimony, shall be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the Planning Commission agenda item being heard, via e-comment or by email to PublicCommentsPlanning@fresno.gov (cc Brittany.Martin@ fresno.gov) pursuant to the Planning Commission rules and procedures. All documents submitted to the City Council for its consideration shall be submitted to the City Clerk at least 24 hours prior to the Council Agenda item being heard, pursuant to the City Council's meeting rules and procedures. If an individual challenges the above applications in court, they may be limited to raising only those issues that were raised at the public hearings described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Development Services Division of the Planning and Development Department and/or Planning Commission and City Council consistent with their respective rules of procedure at, or prior to, the public hearing.
