PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF FIREBAUGH PERMANENT LOCAL HOUSING ALLOCATION PLAN AND APPLICATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Firebaugh is soliciting public review and comment on its proposed PLHA Plan and proposed PLHA application. The Firebaugh City Council will conduct a public hearing at 1655 13th St., Firebaugh, on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 5:30 pm to consider the Plan and application. The City of Firebaugh is eligible for funding through the Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA), created by California Senate Bill 2. The PLHA Program provides funding to administer eligible housing activities to benefit low- and moderate-income persons consistent with the local adopted Housing Element. The State requires the City to prepare a plan describing how the program funds will be allocated to eligible activity types. The City of Firebaugh has prepared a Draft PLHA Plan ("the Plan"), which is available for public review through February 27, 2026. The Plan calls for 40 percent of available funds to be utilized in support of the development of an affordable ownership housing project and for 60% of available funds to be used towards the development of a rental affordable housing project. The Plan can be viewed online at www.firebaugh.org or in the office of the Firebaugh City Hall located at 1133 P St., Firebaugh, CA 93622. If you plan to attend the public hearing and need special accommodation because of a sensory or mobility impairment/disability, or need an interpreter, please call (559) 659-2043 to arrange for those accommodations to be made. Notification 24 hours prior to the meeting will enable the city to make reasonable accommodations to assure accessibility at the meeting. Anyone may testify at this hearing.
