NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY OF KERMAN IS THE LEAD AGENCY ON THE BELOW-DESCRIBED PROJECT AND HAS PREPARED AND INTENDS TO ADOPT A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION AS FOLLOWS:
HARVEST ESTATES RESIDENTIAL PROJECT; ENV 2025-02
In accordance with Section 15072 of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines, this notice is to inform the general public that the City of Kerman (City), as the Lead Agency for the Project, has prepared and intends to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) for the proposed Project consisting of Vesting Tentative Subdivision Map (TSM) 2025-01, Annexation (ANX) 2025-01, General Plan Amendment (GPA) 2025-01, Rezone (REZ) 2025-01, and Environmental Assessment (ENV) 2025-02 pertaining to five parcels identified as APNs 025-130-48, 025-130-47, 025-130-60S, 020-120-11, and 020-120-17S totaling approximately 88.89 acres generally bounded to the north by West Nielsen Avenue, to the west by North Del Norte Avenue, to the south by West Whitesbridge Road (State Route 180), and to the east by North Vineland Avenue. The complete Project description, location, and potential environmental effects are contained in the MND. The MND has concluded that no significant environmental impacts will occur as a result of the Project.
The City of Kerman is making the proposed IS/MND available to interested agencies and members of the public for review and comment. A 30-day public review period will begin on December 31, 2025, and conclude on January 30, 2026. The IS/MND is available for review during regular business hours at the City of Kerman, 850 S. Madera Avenue, Kerman, CA 93630, and on the City of Kerman website at https://cityofkerman.net. A public hearing date for this project is tentatively scheduled for March 9, 2026.
