NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION Para más detalles llame 1-800-660-6789 PROJECT NAME: KINGSBURG-CORCORAN 115KV POWER LINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT - (CITY OF CORCORAN AND FRESNO AND KINGS COUNTIES, T.0000434.01) ADVICE LETTER NUMBER: 7769-E Proposed Project: To comply with California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) General Order (GO) 95 minimum ground-to-conductor clearance requirements, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is proposing to replace existing power line structures and conductor (wires) on approximately 28 miles of the existing Kingsburg-Corcoran 115kV kV Power Line (line) located in the City of Corcoran and unincorporated areas in Kings and Fresno Counties. The project will include the replacement of approximately 140 lattice steel poles (LSPs) with approximately 126 LSPs and approximately 14 tubular steel poles (TSPs). Approximately 12 lattice steel towers will be replaced with approximately 7 TSPs and approximately 5 LSPs. Two TSPs will be replaced with TSPs, and approximately 2 LSPs will be removed. Existing structure heights range from approximately 65 to 110 feet tall. New structure heights will range from approximately 90 to 110 feet tall. The taller structures are needed to accommodate the heavier conductor and meet CPUC GO 95 minimum ground-to-conductor clearance requirements. The line begins at the Kingsburg Substation located at the intersection of Elkhorn Ave and Bethel Ave in unincorporated Fresno County and runs west for approximately 0.5 miles through agricultural lands. The line then turns south and runs for approximately 22.8 miles through agricultural lands. The existing line spans over Cole Slough, Kings River and Cross Creek; however, no work will occur within the bed, bank, or channel. The line then turns southwest and runs for approximately 3.8 miles through agricultural and rural residential areas before ending at the Corcoran Substation located on Orange Ave, approximately 150 feet west of the intersection of State Route 43 and Orange Ave in unincorporated Kings County. Helicopters will be used to facilitate construction and minimize ground disturbance at structures with constrained access. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in Q1 2026, or as soon as practicable after project approval. Construction will be completed in Q4 2026, or as soon as possible after construction begins. Exemption from CPUC Permit Requirement: CPUC General Order 131-E, Section III, Subsection B.2, exempts a utility from the CPUC’s requirement to file an application requesting authority to construct if a project meets specific conditions. This project qualifies for the following exemption(s): a. “The replacement of existing power line facilities or supporting structures, or existing substation facilities or equipment, with equivalent facilities or structures.” Additional Project Information: To obtain further information on the proposed project, please call PG&E’s Project Information Line at (415) 973-5530. Public Review Process: Individuals or groups may protest the proposed construction if they believe that PG&E has incorrectly applied for an exemption or that the conditions set out in Section III.B.3 of General Order 131-E exist; a.
