NOTICE OF PREPARATION OF A SUBSEQUENT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE ROEDING REGIONAL PARK AND FRESNO CHAFFEE ZOO MASTER PLANS This public notice is to inform the public of the availability of the Notice of Preparation. Notice of Preparation: In compliance with Section 15082(a) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, the City of Fresno, as the Lead Agency, has prepared a Notice of Preparation (NOP) of an Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for Conditional Use Permit No. P24-03141, for the proposed amendment of the Roeding Regional Park and Fresno Chaffee Zoo Facility Master Plans, as described below. The complete project description, location, and probable environmental effects of the project are described in the NOP that is available for review at the following website: https://www.fresno.gov/planning/plans-projects-under-review/ Project Location: The proposed project is located within Roeding Regional Park, specifically at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and Rotary Playland facilities, at 894 and 890 West Belmont Avenue, Fresno, CA 93728 (APNs: 458-114-02, 450-020-08T). Project Description: Conditional Use Permit No. P24-03141 proposes an amendment to the previously approved Master Plans to enhance and improve visitors' experience, and modernize and upgrade existing facilities. REQUEST FOR COMMENTS A 30-day public review period for the NOP will commence on October 16, 2025 and end on November 17, 2025. The comment period is intended to solicit input and comments from public agencies and the general public on the scope of the EIR.
