NOTICE Ordinance No. 33371 was passed by the City Council of the City of Dallas, Texas on April 8, 2026, and Ordinance No. 28473-04-2026 was passed by the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas on April 28, 2026. Both ordinances approved Resolution No. 2025-09-257, adopted by the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Board on September 4, 2025, which amended Chapter 17, Section 1704.2 of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport Construction and Fire Prevention Standards to modify International Building Codes 2021 allowing prime contractors to retain special inspectors with strict oversight, as set forth in the attachments to the Airport Board resolution and City Ordinances. The penalty for violation of any rule or regulation is Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), except for those violations relating to fire safety, public health and sanitation, or the dumping of refuse, for which the maximum fine is Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), and except when another fine is fixed by state law.
