NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Re: Notice of Public Hearing Regarding the Consideration of an Amended and Restated Service and Assessment Plan for Fort Worth Public Improvement District No. 17
Pursuant to Sections 372.009 and 372.016, of the Texas Local Government Code, as amended, ("Code") notice is given that the City Council ("City Council") of the City of Fort Worth, Texas ("City") will conduct a public hearing to consider an amended and restated Service and Assessment Plan for the Fort Worth Public Improvement District No. 17 (Rock Creek Ranch) (the "District").
The City Council will hold a public hearing to consider the update to the amended and restated Service and Assessment Plan for the Fort Worth Public Improvement District No. 17, which will be held during the regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail, Fort Worth, Texas. The City Council is expected to take final action and vote on the amended and restated Service and Assessment Plan following the closure of the public hearing on June 23, 2026; however, the City Council may continue such action to a subsequent meeting.
All persons owning property that are liable for assessment located within the PID are invited to be heard concerning the proposed improvements and/or services, the benefits to the property because of the proposed improvements and/or services, and any other matter to which they are entitled to be heard pursuant to the Code. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to appear and be heard at such public hearings.
Written and oral objections will be considered at the hearing. If you would like to speak at the public hearing, you must sign up prior to 9:00 am on June 23, 2026 to speak at the hearing (i) online at https://fortworthgov.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx by clicking on the applicable agenda item, (ii) by email at csoadmin@fortworthtexas.gov, or (iii) by phone at (817) 392-6150. If a speaker wishes to use electronic media, the deadline to submit media is 5:00 pm the day before the applicable meeting.
There is no requirement that any property owners attend or speak at the public hearings. You can submit any written objections or concerns about the PID to the contact listed at the bottom of this notice, which should be submitted prior to the date of the applicable hearing to ensure adequate time for written comments to be received and distributed for proper consideration.
The subject of the public hearing will include the following matters:
1. The general nature of the public improvements throughout the District previously approved by the City Council, including the improvements to be reimbursed through special assessments previously levied in the District, include: (i) roadway improvements.
2. The current boundaries of the District encompass approximately 1,756 acres, and the District is generally located along both sides of the Chisolm Trail Parkway south of McPherson Boulevard and north of FM 1187, in Tarrant County, Texas. The boundaries of the District are more particularly described by a metes and bounds description available at the Fort Worth City Hall and available for public inspection.
