The Fort Worth City Plan Commission and the Fort Worth City Council will host public hearings on the proposed adoption of the Master Transportation Plan ("MTP") and text amendments to the Subdivision Ordinance and Access Management Policy.
The public is invited to provide comments to the Commission at the public hearing scheduled for May 14, 2026, at 9 a.m., either in person or by submitting comments via email.
The meetings will be held at City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail, Council Work Session Room, Fort Worth, TX 76102. Written comments on the Plan Amendments may be sent to the Platting and Annexation Division email at Platbox2@fortworthtexas.gov. All written comments must be received by Tuesday, May 12, 2026, to be considered by the Commission.
Upon a recommendation from the City Plan Commission, there will be a City Council Public Hearing to adopt the Master Transportation Plan and text amendments to the subdivision ordinance and Access Management Policy. The adoption public hearing will be held on June 9 at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail, Council Chamber, Fort Worth TX, 76102.
The MTP is the result of 24 months of community outreach, regional coordination and capital project development. The plan includes projects that will address roadway operations, freight corridors, sidewalks, active transportation facilities and safety. The updated Master Transportation Plan and Master Roadway Network are the results of public and stakeholder comments. It includes updates to the City of Fort Worth's Master Roadway Network (formerly the Master Thoroughfare Plan) and the Active Transportation and Micromobility Plan (formerly the Active Transportation Plan).
The updated draft Master Transportation Plan document and Master Roadway Network map will be available for viewing at least 72 hours before the public hearing at the following link: www.movingamillion.org.
