PUBLIC NOTICE THE U.S. AIR FORCE CIVIL ENGINEER CENTER HAS COMPLETED A CERCLA FIVE-YEAR REVIEW AT FORMER CARSWELL AIR FORCE BASE, TX The United States Air Force has completed the fifth five-year review for selected environmental remedies implemented at the former Carswell Air Force Base, in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Review of long-term remedial actions are required every five years to ensure continued protection of human health and the environment. The review assessed the effectiveness of protective measures at such sites. Based on this completed review, the selected remedy is functioning as intended and is protective of human health and the environment.
