CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE ORDINANCE NO. 11838-2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AMENDING SCHEDULE II OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE TRAFFIC REGISTER BY ESTABLISHING A POSTED LIMIT OF 50 MPH ON BELT LINE ROAD BETWEEN THE NORTH CITY LIMITS AND ENTERTAINMENT WAY WITHIN THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE CITY LIMITS; DECLARING SAID SPEED LIMIT TO BE REASONABLE AND SAFE; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. SECTION 6. That any person violating any of the provisions or terms of this Ordinance shall be subject to the same penalty as provided for in the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grand Prairie as heretofore amended and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect upon official incorporation of the subject portion of Belt Line Road identified in Section 1 herein into the city limits of the City of Grand Prairie and publication of this ordinance as required by law.
