CITY OF FORT WORTH PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the following ordinance was adopted by the Fort Worth City Council at their regular meeting held on Tuesday, December 09, 2025. ORDINANCE NO. 28191-12-2025 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, "BUILDINGS," ARTICLE VIII "FLOODPLAIN PROVISIONS," OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS (2015), AS AMENDED, TO REGULATE VALLEY STORAGE OF STORMWATER; ADDING AND REVISING DEFINITIONS RELATED TO VALLEY STORAGE; REORDERING SUMP AREA REGULATIONS; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE IS CUMULATIVE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER OF THE CITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. SECTION 6. Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not more than Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. SECTION 9. This ordinance shall take effect after adoption and publication as required by law.
