ECONOMIC SECURITY (CDBG-CV) and CDBG-CV3 PROGRAMS

The City of Fort Worth is holding a public comment period from Monday, January 26, 2026, through Friday, January 30, 2026, to receive public comments regarding a proposed change in use of $143,506.00 in Community Development Block Grant – Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CDBG-CV) and CDBG-CV3 funds, and a substantial amendment to the City’s 2020-2021 Action Plan. The proposed change in use of funds is to fund Presbyterian Night Shelter’s Moving Home program. This program meets the City of Fort Worth’s 2023-2027 Consolidated Plan goal- Homeless Services and Special Needs Support.
All funding will be used to provide services and made available to address community needs directly resulting from, or made more urgent by, the COVID-19 pandemic.

Agency Name: The Presbyterian Night Shelter of Tarrant County, Inc. Agency Program: Moving Home Program which provides homeless services to unhoused residents. Agency Location: 2400 Cypress Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102 Services will be provided 24 hours, 365 days a year. Tie Back: Program provides 24/7 safe, low-barrier shelter and supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness, many of whom have chronic health conditions, disabilities, or compromised immune systems that place them at elevated risk for severe illness from COVID-19 and other communicable diseases. Additionally, the Moving Home program supports efforts to prevent homelessness, a critical need intensified by job losses, housing instability, and other economic disruptions caused by the COVID-19 public health crisis
