LEGAL NOTICE On May 18, 2026, Columbus Water Works experienced a sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) in Columbus, Georgia at the following location: 5107 Abbott Avenue that discharged 28,341 gallons into a Chattahoochee River Tributary. The SSO was caused by debris in a sewer main. Columbus Water Works took corrective action by containing the SSO and making the necessary repairs.
