The Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia, has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes in the following taxing districts:
Urban Services District #1, #5, #6, #7 2.00 percent Urban Services District #2 4.50 percent
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held in the Council Chambers on the second level of the City Services Center, 3111 Citizens Way, Columbus, Georgia 31906, on June 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

This tentative increase in Urban Services Districts #1, #5, #6, #7 will result in a millage rate of 15.15 mills, an increase of 0.262 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 14.888 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $200,000 is approximately $17.42 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $250,000 is approximately $26.20.
This tentative increase in Urban Services Districts #2 will result in a millage rate of 9.17 mills, an increase of 0.385 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 8.785 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $400,000 is approximately $56.40 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $275,000 is approximately $42.35.
