PUBLIC NOTICE Columbus Water Works, P.O. Box 1600, Columbus, Georgia, 31902, is required by the Federal General Pretreatment Regulations (40 CFR Part 403) to publish the list of industries in Columbus who were in Significant Noncompliance with their wastewater discharge permits for the July 2025 – December 2025 reporting period. Significant Noncompliance is defined in City Ordinance #04-74. Listed below in alphabetical order are the industries which require publication. Following, is a brief description of each industry requiring publication: (1) Chairman's Foods P.O. Box 6427 Columbus, GA 31917 Violation: 33% over permitted limits for Oil & Grease for the Technical Review Criteria. Over 33% establishes Significant Non-Compliance. Corrective Action: The facility has increased the pumping and cleaning of the settling pit to once per week and added treatment.
