Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the Location and Design of this project.
The date of location and design approval is: April 2, 2025
The project proposes to convert the existing signalized intersection at CR 1126/13th Avenue at 17th Street & at Linwood Boulevard into a single- lane roundabout with a 122-ft to 152-ft inscribed diameter and a five-legged approach. The primary purpose of this project is to improve operational efficiency at this intersection located within the City of Columbus in Muscogee County and Georgia Militia District 215. Traffic will be maintained utilizing an off-site detour during construction. The estimated time for construction is 12-18 months. The total project length is 0.2 miles.
City of Columbus would be responsible for acquiring property rights for this project.
