CITY OF CAMDEN NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. Section 6-1-80 (1976, as amended) and S.C. Code Ann. Section 6-1-330(A) (1976, as amended), the City Council of the City of Camden (the "City"), will conduct a public hearing (the "Hearing") related to a first amendment to City's annual budget for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027, which proposed amendment (i) appropriates funding granted to the City by South Carolina General Assembly pursuant to Act No. 261 (the "Act") toward the "Forward Camden" project, a downtown initiative intended to attract and retain workforce, residents, and tourists, and (ii) appropriates certain parking charges anticipated for collection as a result of the enactment of an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE VII IN THE CITY OF CAMDEN CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ADD CHAPTER 74 RELATED TO PARKING REGULATIONS; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO" (the "Parking Ordinance" and collectively with the funds appropriated under the Act, the "Amendment"). The Hearing will be held during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as time permits and after any hearing of the Parking Ordinance) in the City Council chambers, which are located at 1000 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC. A copy of the agenda for the City Council meeting will be available on the City's website: https://experiencecamdensc.com/government/mayor-and-city-council/meeting-agendas-and-minutes/, at least 24-hours in advance of the date and time for the meeting. Further information regarding the Hearing is available by submitting an email to: cityclerk@camdensc.org. Additionally, copies of the proposed Amendment are available for pick up at City Hall, which is located at 1000 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC, during regular business hours.
