NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE RICHLAND COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA Notice is hereby given that on July 14, 2026, the Richland County Council adopted Ordinance No. 029-26HR "AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS (FIRE PROTECTION SERVICE) IN ONE OR MORE SERIES, TAX-EXEMPT OR TAXABLE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12,000,000, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND ACQUIRING EQUIPMENT FOR THE FIRE DISTRICT; AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO PRESCRIBE THE DETAILS OF THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF THE BONDS AND THE FORM AND DETAILS OF THE BONDS; PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSITION OF THE PROCEEDS OF THE BONDS AND THE PAYMENT OF THE BONDS; AND OTHER RELATED MATTERS" (the "Bonds"). The Bonds will be general obligation bonds of the County and the principal and interest thereon will be paid through the levy and collection of ad valorem property taxes on property located in the County. This Notice is provided pursuant to paragraph 8 of Section 11-27-40 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976 (as amended) ("SC Code"). The public is also hereby notified of the initiative and referendum provisions prescribed under Article 13, Chapter 9, Title 4 of the SC Code, and, in compliance with the provisions, of its right to file a notice of intent to seek a referendum within twenty days from the date of publication of this Notice.
