Code of Laws, public notice is hereby given that the Columbia City Council will hold a public hearing on June 9, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall, 1737 Main Street in Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, Columbia, South Carolina, 29201 to receive public comment on Ordinance No.: 2026-045 - Amending the 1998 Code of Ordinances of the City of Columbia, South Carolina, Chapter 23, Utilities and Engineering, Article V. Water and Sewer Rates, Sec. 23-146 Fire hydrant, fire protection and sprinkler system charges (g). Sec. 23-146. Fire hydrant, fire protection and sprinkler system charges. (g) Out-of-city customers in any county shall pay a fire protection charge as follows: Current Proposed (1) Residential $2.00 $5.00 (2) Residential, multi-unit (served by one meter): a. First unit $2.00 $5.00 b.
