NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING IRMO CHAPIN RECREATION DISTRICT FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 OPERATING BUDGET Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the Irmo Chapin Recreation District Commission, the governing body of the Irmo Chapin Recreation District ("the District") at 6:00 o'clock p.m. on Thursday, the 21st day of May, 2026. The hearing will be held at Saluda Shoals Park, Administration building conference room, 5605 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The purpose of the public hearing will be to allow members of the public to express their views regarding the proposed operating budget for the "District" for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. District residents who attend the public hearing will be given an opportunity to speak. As required by Section 6-1-80, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, the public is advised of the following: 1. The budget of the "District" for the current Fiscal Year consists of revenues of $15,495,796 and expenditures of $15,495,796. 2. The proposed budget of the "District" for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 consists of revenues of $16,156,928 and expenditures of $16,156,928. 3. The proposed revenues for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 operating budget of the "District" represent a 4.09% increase in revenue and expenditures from the operating budget for the current Fiscal Year. 4. Ad valorem property taxes in the amount of 11.6 mills were levied in the current Fiscal Year to meet operational needs of the "District". 5. The Irmo Chapin Recreation District Commission estimates the millage in dollars as necessary for the next fiscal year's proposed budget will be $5,729,692. IPL0336824 May 6 2026
